Like you, I love the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in the Cascades. I went to school in Oregon and have a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture (OSU) and a second in Landscape Architecture (UofO).
Before settling in Seattle and starting Avalon with Keith in 1996, I worked up-and-down the West Coast in landscape maintenance, construction and installation. I also traveled extensively, enjoying the landscapes of South America, the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia. But it is the deep blues and greens of the Pacific Northwest, where I live with my wife, Mardi, and our two boys, Brodie and Tanner, that provides me with inspiration.
